Luiz (Ludwig) Heinrich Mann (March 27, 1871 – March 12, 1950) wrote German novels with social themes whose attacks on the dictator & progressively militaristic nature and severity of post-Weimar German society led to his exile in 1933.

Life and work
He was born around Lübeck as the oldest tike of Thomas Johann Heinrich Mann & his married woman Júlia da Silva Bruhns and was the sr. brother of Thomas Mann. His father come from either the gentle grain merchandiser personal & was the Senator of the Hanseatic city. Fallowing a dying of his father, his mother moved a personal to Munich, where Heinrich began his career as a freier Schriftsteller.

His essay in Zola and the novel Der Untertan earned him great deal respect in a period of the Weimar Republic, since it satirized German society and explained how else its political body experienced led to the First World War. At length, his book Prof Unrat was liberally adaptated into a successful moving picture Der Blaue Engel (A Blue). Carl Zuckmayer wrote the script, Josef von Sternberg was the director. Marlene Dietrich played her first major role around it when Lola Lola a "actress" (named Rosa Fröhlich in the novel).

Together by using Albert Einstein and other celebrities, Mann was the signer to the letter to the International League of Human Rights condemning the slaying of Croatian scholar Dr Milan Sufflay on February 18, 1931. He became the persona non grata withwithin Nazi Germany & at length processed his way to Marseille in Vichy, France. There, he was aided to escape to Spain, & in time a United States by Varian Fry in 1940.

When you took a Thirties & late around Western exile, his literary career went declivitous, & at length he died inside Santa Monica, California, lonely and forswearing great deal money, simply months prior to he was to move to Soviet-occupied Germany to be president of the Prussian Academy of Arts. His ashes were late taken to East Germany.
